Tequila

  Wild succulents, spikes armored rigid

Despite arid earth and wild wind’s wisps

Braving scorching sun dawn to dusk grits

Extreme temperatures do confer gifts

Adapted to conserve, store liquid goodness

Hidden gems, dulcet potion extracted drink

Aged external flag innate virile toughness

Edging palate consumed inebriate brink

Rumored to thrill always the sullen dullest

Satiate the brawest tongue nonetheless

Bringing the wildest barbaric to their knees

Baby slumbers awakened to rock-hit’s head
